Overview of event

This webinar is available now to watch!

The AR for Enterprise Alliance (AREA) is the only global membership-funded alliance helping to accelerate the adoption of Enterprise Augmented Reality (AR) by supporting the growth of a comprehensive ecosystem. We support innovative companies that invest in AR technology and who seek knowledge about the tools available, use cases, methods of implementation and return on investment.

The PTC Reality Lab, founded by MIT Media Lab graduates, has a singular mission: to further the strategy and vision of PTC by exploring the convergence of the physical and digital worlds. It focuses on industrial company requirements and is exploring a broad range of technologies. These include: spatial computing, Augmented Reality, generative design, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, Industrial Internet of Things, robotics, and digital twin – all within the context of the physical reality.

Agenda

During this webinar, the director of the Reality Lab, Dr. Valentin Heun, will provide an overview of the PTC Reality Lab research and introduce its first product, a new Open-Source Spatial Computing research platform. He will provide a novel perspective on web-based AR and illustrate this perspective with demonstrations.

Participating in this webinar will provide AREA members:

  • Overview of the activities of the PTC Reality Lab
  • An introduction to a novel open-source distributed Spatial Computing platform
  • Insights into how the PTC Reality Lab is approaching Web-based AR
  • Demonstrations for the future of AR
