Overview of event

The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) is the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training conference. It is always held near the beginning of December in Orlando, Florida, USA, and it consists of peer-reviewed paper presentations, tutorials, special events, professional workshops, a commercial exhibit hall, a serious games competition, and STEM events for teachers and secondary students.

I/ITSEC is organized by the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), which promotes international and interdisciplinary cooperation within the fields of modeling and simulation (M&S), training, education, analysis, and related disciplines at this annual meeting. The NTSA is an affiliate subsidiary of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). Hence, I/ITSEC also emphasizes themes related to defense and security.

Conference and Exhibition

I/ITSEC hosts both a conference and an exhibition. A basic agenda for the conference can be found here. The conference offers visitors the opportunity to attend:

  • Tutorials on a number of wide-ranging technical and business topics
  • A number of events and presentations relating to technology, training and outreach
  • A choice of moderated panels and discussions on subjects such as software development and prototyping
  • Presentations on peer-reviewed papers
  • Sessions on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) initiatives

The detailed conference agenda will be published in late summer or early fall.

Over 500 companies are expected to exhibit products and services for training equipment and simulation technologies. A list of exhibitors can be found here.
