Dr. Maria Gorlatova’s lab in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Duke University is conducting research on adaptive intelligent behavior in Internet of Things systems and applications. This includes architectures, algorithms, and protocols for emerging pervasive systems. These are applied to domains such as enabling networking of objects that harvest energy from the environment, monitoring different elements of human activities and Augmented Reality.
Specifically, the lab is developing and testing factors that affect response time and quality of service when distributed AR architectures leverage the computational resources on the edge of networks.
Agenda
In this webinar, Dr. Gorlatova’s prepared remarks will cover the goals of the research and findings that companies can apply in their products and services for enterprise AR. Attendees will learn:
- Latest methodologies for studying and designing distributed mobile AR architectures, including the use cases, data types and devices studied in Dr. Gorlatova’s lab,
- Variables found to be most important when deploying distributed mobile AR architectures,
- The role of IoT and AI in distributed mobile AR architectures,
