Overview of event
As experience with AR increases, customers seek to expand the range of AR use cases they may evaluate, streamline time- and labor-intensive phases and increase ROI.
AREA members are seeking a convenient repository where they can search for literature that is relevant to enterprise AR published in unbiased and peer-reviewed venues (e.g., journals, conferences).
By identifying relevant literature and gaining insights from prior research results faster, members will more quickly answer questions and, identify where there are gaps in research.
Unfortunately, AREA members lack:
A widely-accepted structured list of concepts and terms in enterprise AR, and
A tool for quickly searching the published research in enterprise AR with these terms
In summer 2020, AREA members voted to have the organization’s eighth member-funded research project focus on the development of a structured list of enterprise AR concepts and terms, and a web-based dashboard permitting searches and browsing of published research.
During this webinar Dr. Barb Chaparro (ERAU), Dr. Bill Bernstein (NIST) and members of the research team will describe the 8th project goals and provide a demonstration.
