The AREA Research Committee is initiating a call for members to identify new research topics which are critical to its members and, which can receive support from the AREA. Open exclusively to AREA members in good standing, this call follows ten previous AREA-directed research projects which have produced valuable results. This page informs AREA members about topic areas on which to focus their ideas, the process to be followed and how to participate by submitting research topics.
Note that all AREA members can propose research topic(s) and all members can vote to choose the project topic. The AREA member whose topic is selected will be required to provide one research manager who will:

All members are invited to submit research topics using the AREA-directed research topics submission form. A member can re-use the same form to submit multiple topics.

For reference, the call for proposals to execute the 10th AREA-directed research project will state that funding requests should not exceed US$15,000.
