Overview of event

The AR for Enterprise Alliance (AREA) is the only global membership-funded alliance helping to accelerate the adoption of Enterprise Augmented Reality (AR) by supporting the growth of a comprehensive ecosystem. We support innovative companies that invest in AR technology and who seek knowledge about the tools available, use cases, methods of implementation and return on investment.

User experience (UX) is a multi-faceted research area that includes diverse aspects of the experiential and effective use of a product, system, or service. A UX assessment helps uncover the important aspects of designing high-quality interactive products and providing an overall positive UX. To measure a UX requires assessments of usability (perspicuity, efficiency, etc.), user perception (stimulation, dependability, novelty, etc.), and human emotional reaction. In AR, different UX approaches can be compared and combined to choose that which best suits the use case and requirements.

A mixed-method evaluation approach for AR UX is necessary to ensure benefits are achieved, risks are as low as possible and the solution will be accepted by users. The Ubiquitous Computing Laboratory of the Kyung Hee University (KR) has developed a protocol using a combination of observational, self-reported, and physiological measurements.
