Challenges For AR
AR to become mainstream requires a number of enablers to be rolled out such as cloud rendering, 5G streaming, and edge computing. As more of the heavy lifting is processed in the cloud this will allow greater innovation in the headset to move to more practical form factors to support a wider array of use cases.
Why AR
AR will be a major driver for Industry 4.0, delivering a step-change in effectiveness and efficiency. There are a myriad of use cases that will evolve as the enabling technologies are more broadly adopted to democratise 3D data and ensure the required information is delivered to the right person at the right time.
