Overview of event
The IEEE Industrial Applications Society (IAS) and IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) will conduct the Augmented Reality and Head-Mounted Display Summit, to gain insights into the opportunities for risk reduction and improving performance through the introduction of Augmented Reality (AR)-assisted workflows in the oil and gas industry.
Those who are evaluating Augmented Reality introduction in their companies and considering how this technology could impact workplace practices and workflows are invited to participate.
The agenda includes presentations, panel sessions and demonstrations by participating organizations. Discussions will focus on best practices and practical approaches for integrating AR-enhanced content visualization in oil and gas.

9:15-10:00 am | Keynote: Mike Haley recently retired from BP where he was a senior IT consultant in the Office of the CTO. His role was cross-segment and ranged from strategy and architectural analysis through to the launch of projects taking “early adopter” advantage of new technology. He led the industrial wireless deployment of integrated real time mobile applications, alongside the development of new industrial user devices including hand-held and wearables. |
