Overview of event
The IEEE International Conference on Industrial Instrumentation and Control (ICIC 2015) is organized to promote interdisciplinary understanding of industrial instrumentation and control systems and their application to different fields of science and engineering.
Industrial Instrumentation and control is an important domain for modern manufacturing, energy generation and distribution, and science, among other domains. Industrial instrumentation systems are very complex and powerful. Their use requires training and, in some cases, even certification. In the future, the configuration, control, maintenance and service of industrial machines could be performed more quickly, with fewer errors and lower cost if the manufacturers of industrial instrumentation and control systems were to provide to their customers complete Augmented Reality-assisted systems for use with their products.
Manufacturers of industrial machines can learn about Augmented Reality from AREA members and other technology providers who participate in conferences like this one.
Agenda
There are over 400 accepted papers. Based on these papers submitted and reviewed by experts in the field, the conference features a comprehensive technical program offering numerous technical sessions about the latest technologies, applications and services.

Access and Accommodations
From Pune International Airport you can reach the conference venue, located in Shivaji Nagar, either by taxi or by public transportation. Taxis are available directly outside the departures and arrivals halls of the airport.
Alternatively, you can reach the venue from Pune Railway Station. The conference venue is 1.5 km from Pune Railway Station. Auto rickshaws and other public transport are available outside the railway station.

This is an IEEE conference hosted by the College of Engineering Pune, India’s most prestigious engineering institute. Established in 1854, it is the third oldest engineering school in Asia.
The COEP Department of Instrumentation and Control started in 1965 with the support of the Central Government and is now celebrating fifty years of providing excellence in the field of instrumentation and control. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in specialization with process instrumentation and biomedical Instrumentation. The department boasts qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty to impart fundamental and applied knowledge in the field of industrial automation, process systems engineering, instrumentation systems engineering and biomedical instrumentation. The department focuses on preparing the students to meet global industrial challenges.
The department enjoys long-standing relationships with industry, academia, and research organizations of national importance to pursue agendas in teaching, training and research. The industry research organization members that actively participate in departmental activities are Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Indian Air Force, Armed Forces Medical College Pune, Emerson Process Systems, Rockwell Automation, Honeywell, Forbes Marshall, Hella India Pvt. Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Pune, Quanser Canada, National Instruments US, etc.
Organization
The conference sessions will be conducted in English. The sessions and conference are prepared under the guidance of the ICIC Steering Committee and with the dedicated support of the Organizing and Technical Committees.
