Enterprises around the globe are deploying Augmented Reality solutions to bring new productivity to a wide range of tasks and organizations.

Augmented Reality-assisted assembly processes enable management of quality variation and customization within small batch production lines. Leveraging model-based object recognition, graphical overlays are provided to mobile visualization devices to show workers recommended processes and verify tasks are completed correctly.

AR Technologies

For these processes, any software architecture that supports real time detection, recognition, and rendering in the midst of complex assemblies and sub-assemblies is suitable. Such software architectures must take data security into consideration as well as compliance with national and international regulations.

Hardware for this use case is based on mobile platforms, preferably wearable technology that integrates into existing safety glasses and other worker requirements. User interfaces based on gesture, with opportunities for touchscreen implementation supports work without need for mouse or keyboard.
