Background And Achievements:
Raytheon Technologies has a rich history in Augmented Reality devices and applications. From head mounted displays (HMDs) and Head-up Displays (HUDs) for the warfighter, our VirtualWorx enterprise remote support tool, Immersive Design Centers (IDCs), Customer Engagement Centers (CECs), and other advanced visualization spaces, and applications in work instructions, design analysis, remote collaboration, and training, we have continued to realize and deliver on value through AR. We have also served as thought leaders through cross-industry organizations, conferences, and publications, helping to drive adoption and advancements across the globe.
Challenges For AR:
Greater ties into the digital thread to realize better gains across the product lifecycle, improved knowledge capture and transfer including AR work instructions and training, stronger collaboration, innovation, and value realization between our massive global workforce, and increased capacity to deploy subject matter expertise for the benefit of our customers and suppliers anywhere in the world.
AR is part of our modern toolkit, alongside AI/ML, digital twins, additive manufacturing, cloud computing, quantum computing, IIoT, and more. The trick is using the right tool for the job. Using the right tool for the job can result in the best product and mastery of these tools can lead to new efficiencies, insights, and capabilities. As we continue to advance our technologies for both commercial customers and the warfighter, AR will enable us to deliver better, faster, and more capable products and services, ensuring we are able to stay competitive, innovative, and industry leading for Raytheon Technologies customers.
