Background and Achievements
In 2016, Finger Food became the first Canadian company to become an official Microsoft HoloLens Agency Partner. We then created what is currently the largest dedicated holographic development space in the world: The Holodeck™. The 25,000 square foot warehouse enables our team to create large scale holographic applications reinvent industry workflows and create new scope for what is possible for automotive design, retail, oil and gas, civil engineering, industrial engineering, architectural design and more;. The Holodeck™ is a game-changing, large scale facility that enables the design and development of mixed and augmented reality applications.
The first industrial holographic project in the Holodeck space was for global medium and heavy-duty truck design and manufacturing company, PACCAR, the parent company of Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Leyland. For PACCAR, Finger Food created to scale a semi-truck hologram that has revolutionized their truck design workflow.
We were the first company in the world to apply holographic computing – combined with cognitive computing and real-time Internet of Things data sources – to such large scale dynamic solutions.
At Finger Food, we see challenges as an invitation to embrace limitless possibilities and opportunities to transform the way the world works. We work with our clients to identify and truly understand their business challenges and goals from the inside out. Finger Food delivers technology-driven business solutions to enable companies to think and work differently.
We have currently the world’s largest dedicated holographic design and development space, The Holodeck. At 25,000 square feet, this space allows us to imagine and create holographic solutions at full scale.
Whether it’s a theatrical set, a kitchen, a semi-truck, brewery equipment or a skyscraper, our large-scale, cross-platform applications are creating positive change and real-world results for our clients using bleeding-edge technology including holographic computing, machine learning and IoT.
Challenges to be Addressed by AR
Finger Food uses Mixed Reality and Augmented Reality to solve key business challenges by combining holographic computing with machine learning and IoT.
Our enterprise solutions include full-scale applications including our HoloBridge IoT Visualization framework developed in alliance with OSISoft and Microsoft for Deschutes Brewery, PACCAR’s holographic design review tool, holographic applications for Google’s new Visual Positioning Service (VPS), and more.
Finger Food works as an innovation lab for our clients. We are a team of elite problem solvers and fearless innovators, working to transform industries with technology. Built on a foundation of engineering, our team encompasses design, project management, hardware solutions, and QA to deliver world-class projects on a variety of platforms and devices. Our clients are our partners in innovation.
