Overview of event

Augmented Reality in Leading-edge Utilities (ARLU) is a two-day event focusing on the opportunities for impact and barriers facing introduction and widespread use of Augmented Reality (AR) assisted systems in the utilities industry.
Targeted at information technology professionals working in utilities, vendors serving the utilities industry and providers of AR components, systems and services, ARLU facilitates knowledge transfer between organizations actively involved in the development and deployment or considering introduction of AR-assisted enterprise systems in oil and gas, power distribution, gas, water and waste management and other companies serving utilities industry.

Presentations, workshop sessions and demonstrations by participating organizations will provide insight into best practices and highlight practical approaches for integrating AR-enhanced information visualization components into utilities industry processes and workflows.

Goals and Objectives

Professionals managing information technologies in utilities are invited to attend ARLU to:
  • Acquire concrete and tactical information from experts about AR introduction and deployment strategies, risks, steps and solutions in electric utilities
  • Participate in active and vendor-neutral discussion about
    • Use cases for AR-assisted utility data visualization and interaction

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance (AREA) in collaboration with the IEEE Standards Association are co-organizing the ARLU event.

Registration and Fees

The ARLU event is open to all technology providers and systems integrators, and utilities companies. To receive an invitation to register for the ARLU event, please send a message to Laura Abbott.

All invited speakers and participants will pay a $200 registration fee to EPRI.
