Joining AREA allows us to engage with a community that understands both the promise and the complexity of enterprise AR. It’s the right forum for sharing our vision and connecting with like-minded partners who can help bring it to scale.

Our participation as an AREA charter member offers us options to reduce the barriers to AR adoption across our industry.

The AREA unites the AR community with focus on the enterprise sector, in which we see the driver for growth and maturity of XR. We believe that Holo-Light can contribute to that eco-system with expertise in AR software development, engineering use cases and technology enabling the streaming of all XR applications. (1/3)

The activities throughout the year including workinars, committees, podcasts and events are a remarkable platform for all companies with interest in XR, not only giving us the chance to present ourselves, but also shape the future of XR. At CrossComm, we believe Augmented Reality has the potential to transform how we interact with the world around us, but it will require the collective vision and collaboration of pioneers to determine practical solutions and best practices within this new computing paradigm. The AREA is a community that fosters such collaboration – and we are proud to be working alongside other members to see AR reach its fullest potential.

The AREA has been an invaluable organization for the launch of ARGO and our product lines.  The internal committees have provided us with a platform for feedback on product development and the connectivity to the ecosystem via events and customer interactions has supported the development of new customers.  The AREA has depth and their R&D contributions are as valuable as their connectivity in the space.

As a member of the Lockheed Martin AR team, I've seen firsthand the value that the AREA community brings to our organization and the industry as a whole. There are two reasons we joined the AREA. Number one, we want to provide immersive training experiences that are effective without putting the hazard in front of the trainee early in their training process. 

And two, figuring out return on investment, figuring out the best approaches within augmented reality to effectively deliver content, and achieve our training mission was the primary reason that we joined the AREA. 

[The AREA was] working hard to solve the same challenges, so it was very helpful to us and gave us additional resources. And I've been a fan since that timeframe to see the work that the AREA is doing. I think it's instrumental. It helps companies, especially companies who are in the early stages, figure out how to solve the challenges so that there's a lower barrier to entry.

AREA is a great community. We get to touch base with movers and shakers in this space, enterprise leaders, also our peers and, to some degree, competitors. It's a great place to have a hand in the development of industry standards or to at least observe what's going on, share best practices and collaborate generally on how we can accelerate the adoption of this technology
